Who are we

We started this website, because many sites about Greek namedays were not complete, were containing obscurities, or even turned out to be incorrect. Apart from that often no or only some popular derived names were mentioned. Sometimes it was almost impossible to find the right nameday of one person. That’s why we just started our own website. We do this in our free time because of a personal interest.

Our goal is to inventory the data of as many namedaysites as possible, so that they can be compared with each other and the obscurities can be taken out.

In the course of time a lot of data have been added, namedays (our list is very extensive, also with many, even for Greek less known saints) as well as derived names (already ca. 6000). Also the list with meanings of names is very extensive. We limited ourselves to names derived from Greek saintsnames, because there are more than enough general namesites already.
